Starry Starry Night
Imagine being homeless, displaced and with nothing; no home, no food,
no dignity, sleeping under the stars day in and day out, with no
opportunities for the basic human rights and dignity as stared under
the United Nations Charter on Human Rights. The romance of sleeping
under a moon lit starry, night would soon wear off as the reality of
the situation and desperation come real.
The objective of this fundraising charity is to provide food and
shelter for the dispossessed people of Sri Lanka who, through civil
war have lost everything. In particular the charity will focus on
educating the children who have lost any opportunities they would
otherwise have had to an education. We are currently planning to build
a bakehouse and common kitchen in affected areas.
We can cure physical diseases with medicine but the only cure for
loneliness, despair and hopelessness is love.
There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread
but there are many more dying for a little love.
